As part of our team, you will work in a NICU-based float pool, offering critical support across multiple units, including the PICU and Pediatrics. This position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to expand their skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients in the NICU, PICU, and other pediatric units.
• Manage A-line, central, and implanted lines, and administer IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and ventilators, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP systems.
• Perform feeding procedures, including bottle, breast, and gavage feedings, and manage oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
• Address Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and provide appropriate care.
• Adapt to varying patient ratios based on unit needs, acuity, and census.
• Float as needed to PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery, ensuring appropriate patient assignments based on skill set.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 1.5 years in NICU Level III and PICU.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and fulfill holiday requirements as per unit needs.
• Ability to float across units as needed without exceptions.
