• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Floating: Required to float between NICU Level III, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics based on skill set
• Patient Population: Neonates
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

NICU RN Job Requirements

• Active NJ RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Documented Level III NICU and PICU experience in employment history
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong clinical experience with arterial lines, central line and implanted line care, UAC/UVC management, IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
• Experience with ventilator management including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP
• Competency in feedings, tube placement and management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and neonatal abstinence syndrome care
• Ability to work every other weekend and meet holiday coverage expectations as needed
• Must be comfortable floating without exception to related pediatric units

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU environment
• Monitor and manage complex neonatal patients with varying acuity levels
• Support respiratory and cardiac interventions, including ventilator management and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Administer and titrate medications and therapies such as IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
• Maintain and assess central and arterial access lines, including UAC/UVC care
• Assist with feeding management, tube placement, and ongoing developmental support for neonates
• Document care accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Adapt quickly when floated to Newborn Nursery, PICU, or Pediatrics while delivering safe, patient-centered care
