Travel NICU Registered Nurse – Level III NICU Float Pool in Livingston, NJ

Experienced NICU Registered Nurse needed for a travel nursing assignment in the welcoming Livingston, New Jersey (07039) area, with float pool support across NICU, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics. Join a Level III NICU team and provide specialized care to neonates in Livingston, NJ 07039.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 8:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Required to float between NICU, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics based on skill set
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Patient Population: Neonates and acute pediatric patients

Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Documented Level III NICU and PICU experience in employment history
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong clinical background in neonatal nursing and pediatric acute care
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVCs, IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
• Comfortable with ventilator management, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with feeding management, tube placement, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome care
• Must be available for holiday coverage based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a busy Level III NICU
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical confidence and urgency
• Manage complex neonatal therapies, including lines, medications, and respiratory support
• Support safe ventilator management and advanced neonatal interventions
• Assist with feeding plans and tube management for infants with specialized needs
• Float appropriately to NICU, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics as assigned
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain a professional, flexible approach in a specialized float pool nursing role
