Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • Work in a Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery within a hospital setting
  • 4-bed unit with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
  • Cares for late preterm and newborn infants (35 weeks and beyond) with health issues
  • Utilizes cardiopulmonary monitors, LED phototherapy lights, radiant warming units, resuscitation and stabilization care centers, IV infusion pumps, and isolettes
  • Provides donor milk and oxygen therapy as needed
  • Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required and must be in hand at time of profile submission
  • Active BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of current NICU experience required, specifically at a Level 1B NICU or higher
  • Experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies exposed to opioids in utero required
  • Experience with TTN (Transient Tachypnea) babies with mild breathing problems required
  • Experience with blood sugar stabilization required
  • Experience with babies requiring respiratory support required
  • Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (NC) required
  • Current NICU Skills Checklist (within 1 year) required for consideration
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle

Additional Information

  • Provide specialized nursing care to late preterm and newborn infants requiring continuing care nursery services
  • Block scheduling requests will not be considered
  • All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as requests made after offer or interview may result in a rescinded offer
  • No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
