This includes testing equipment and ensuring proper functionality. The technologist educates patients and families regarding the procedures. The technologist performs procedures in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standards. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with research, utilizing imaging technologies, and ensuring radiation safety. The role involves troubleshooting and computer processing. Data archiving and handling of radioactive materials are essential components of the job. Regulatory compliance is necessary to maintain safety and standard practices. Patient data assessment and involvement in radioactive material studies are integral to the position. The technologist is responsible for radiation measurement and advises on safety protocols. Hazard warning and nuclear waste management are also part of the job duties. The Offsite Nuclear Medicine Technologist evaluates equipment and makes necessary performance adjustments.
