Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a Day shift role requiring 1+ years experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification.

Details

  • Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
  • Department does not perform nuclear cardiology exams
  • Adult patient population
  • 5x8 hour Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Uses Siemens and Philips equipment
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • May float to like units within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • PET certification preferred
  • Experience with PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging on Siemens equipment required
  • Skills required include Bone Scan, 3 Phase, Whole Body, Shunt, Abdominal, and Ventricular studies
  • SPECT experience including Bone, Brain, Liver, Renal, and Thyroid studies
  • Experience with Cancer Survey, I-123 Uptake Scan, and Cerebral Blood Flow studies
  • Proficiency in Lung Scan procedures including DTPA Aerosol, Perfusion, and Ventilation/Perfusion
  • Experience with Renal Flow, Renal/Perfusion, and Three Phase with Lasix procedures
  • Experience with Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, PET Scan, and Tumor Localization procedures
  • Experience with Liver/Spleen Scan, Liver Flow, Liver Imaging, and Liver Scan-Hemangioma
  • Skilled in drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
  • Experience storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Candidates must not reside within 75 miles of the facility
  • Former staff must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
  • Travelers will receive a brief orientation before floating to other units
