Job Title: Nuclear Med Tech Profession: Nuclear Medicine Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM Experience: 1 year License: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school Certifications: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear & BLS (AHA only) Must-Have: 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech Description: Perform diagnostic procedures in the field of nuclear medicine. Transport patients when needed. Observe universal precautions consistently. Wear proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance. Understand the importance of the integrity of the archive. Follow established downtime processes when needed. Perform all post-processing procedures on the workstations. Conduct necessary functions on the quality control workstation. Demonstrate technical skill in medical scanning and understanding of cross-sectional anatomy. Possess computer skills related to PACS, HIS/RIS, quality control, and workstations. Utilize power injectors and CPR techniques as required. Exhibits capabilities for manipulating equipment and evaluating proper exposure factors. Evaluate images and manage patient handling, including lifting, moving, and transporting. Adapt to stressful and emergent situations as needed. Communicate effectively with patients and team members. Be proficient in the use of CT scanners, power injectors, workstations, and computers. Maintain a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
