Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technician Specialty: Nuclear Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year preferred; first-time travelers accepted License: Required state license Certifications: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT (NM), Dosimeter required Must-Have: Experience with DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CT. Description: Immediate start needed. Interviews will be simplified and then approved by the manager. The traveler will perform PET CTs in the afternoons on a schedule of 4/10 hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). There are 3 nuclear medicine imaging rooms including a gamma camera, stress room, and PET CT. The average number of patients seen per day is 8-10, but when doing PET CTs, this will be reduced to 5 per day. Support on the unit includes a lead tech and 2 techs per shift. Internal transport and radiologist support are available onsite. The technology used includes EMR and PACS systems, specifically Cerner and Enterprise Imaging AGFA. Equipment utilized includes Siemens dual head cameras and GE IQ PET CT. Techs will rotate start times between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM, based on the daily schedule. No weekends or call requirements are expected. There are no holiday expectations. Scrub color can be any solid color as long as it is professional or provided if needed.
