Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,906 per week in Lexington, KY

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required License: Compact or State License required at time of submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Nuclear Medicine experience is required. PET/CT experience is preferred but not required. Description: Call is required once every 9 weeks. Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients. The job requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and, most importantly, patient-centeredness. Travelers will be expected to provide care to patients in General Nuclear Medicine. This includes routine studies such as bones, gastrics, hepatos, and renals. If PET/CT trained, there is potential for rotation through the PET department. On weekdays, the call person stays late only if there is a late patient; however, the team is usually done by 6 PM. Weekend call coverage is from 8 AM to 5 PM for GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death cases. Last year, the team was only called in five times for these cases. Local travelers within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby. Rehire eligibility will be checked regularly, and travelers who are ineligible may be canceled. Candidates must have previously worked in the facility noted on the profile to check eligibility for rehire. Modules are billable and vary by specialty.
