Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,951 per week in Staten Island, NY

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7.5 Hours (08:30 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience License: State Department of Health License Certifications: NMTCB Certification Must-Have: - PET imaging experience - Experience with venipuncture/blood draws - Experience in starting and maintaining IVs - Safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials - Knowledge of isolation precautions and appropriate PPE Description: An experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed for a travel assignment. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule. The daily patient volume is low, providing an opportunity to work in a specialized oncology environment. The primary procedure performed will be PET scans. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with oncologic diagnoses. Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment is preferred. Applicants should have experience in an adult outpatient clinic or hospital setting. Up to two pre-approved time-off requests are permitted during the contract period. Candidates must have managerial references; Charge RN references are not acceptable. A hard copy of the license or tech certification is required upon submission. Candidates should be prepared to order necessary documentation within 48 hours of signing. Additional experience with PET/CT, ARRT (N), and previous charge technologist experience are preferred.
