- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients via oral, injection, or inhalation methods for diagnostic imaging.
- Operate imaging equipment (such as SPECT/CT scanners) to obtain images of various body organs (brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver).
- Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure their comfort and proper positioning during scans.
- Process and produce computer-generated images for physician interpretation.
- Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceutical usage and all performed procedures.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure to staff and patients.
- Maintain current knowledge of advances and developments in nuclear medicine technology.
- Support and promote the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry; comply with Standards of Conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ensure operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications (NH license, Nuclear Medicine certification, BLS).
- Must be able to fulfill the physical and mental demands of the position, including lifting and stress management.
- Adhere to workplace safety, business process improvements, and business necessity modifications as required.W
