Responsibilities
Provide patient care before, during, and after PET/CT procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education.
Verify patient information, physician orders, consent, and required pre-procedure preparations; obtain and document patient history.
Perform PET/CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation, manage patient registration and orders, and support PACS/EMR quality assurance processes.
Perform equipment quality control, manage radiopharmaceuticals and department inventory, and maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
Certifications & Licensure
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist through ARRT, or registry eligible.
Post-primary CT certification through NMTCB or ARRT.
Current New York State Department of Health (NYS/DOH) license required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
