This role requires full training and self-reliance with routine Nuclear Medicine Technologist techniques. The Technologist is expected to enhance the department by providing optimal exams and procedures. Collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine Physician is essential while performing a full spectrum of diagnostic imaging. The role involves analyzing biological specimens and assisting with both therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities include preparing radiopharmaceuticals, administering them to patients, and utilizing imaging devices to record distribution within a patient’s body. The Technologist is accountable for patient safety protocols. Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local, and regulatory agency requirements is necessary. Participation in continuous quality improvement activities is expected. A minimum of two years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
