Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: California State License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT or NMTCB required Must-Have: First-timers accepted Ability to float between units Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform various nuclear medicine procedures. Candidates with at least one year of experience are preferred. Candidates must hold a valid California state license along with BLS and either ARRT or NMTCB certifications. The position requires the ability to float between outpatient and hospital settings. Daily census is expected to be around 8 patients. Candidates should have experience with a variety of nuclear medicine scans and procedures. Interdisciplinary support is an essential aspect of this role. This position may involve working with students. Techs will work in both PET CT and Nuclear Medicine. Equipment includes a Siemens PET CT machine and several nuclear medicine machines. The role may include specialized procedures such as thyroid scans, MIBG scans, and renal scans. It is important to have strong skills in patient care and safety protocols. The ability to start and maintain IVs is also required. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with a focus on patient-centered care. This role may involve administrative duties, including charting and documentation. All travelers should be prepared to float within multiple facilities in the area. Rejection or refusal to float may impact job status and guaranteed hours. Candidates are responsible for disclosing any relevant background information prior to employment. References covering one year within the last three years are required for compliance. Candidates must provide proof of additional certifications as required for specific assignments.
