Travel: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, must remain until all cases are completed) | Weekends and On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures while supporting efficient patient flow and throughput
- Observe and maintain radiation safety protocols when handling radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals used in the department
- Ensure completed exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS; follow downtime procedures and escalate issues to the PACS administrator as needed
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by applicable licensure and regulatory standards
- Demonstrate flexibility by working alternate shifts or at additional campuses as operationally needed
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or approved equivalent
- Nuclear Medicine Technology certification through ARRT (N) or NMTCB required
- Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the Texas Medical Board required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association only
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience
- Basic computer proficiency required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume or multi-campus imaging environment
- Familiarity with PACS systems and image archiving workflows
- Demonstrated ability to adapt patient care approaches to meet diverse physical, psychosocial, and age-specific needs
