Travel: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring completed exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS.
- Observe and maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals used in the department.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance issues and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel; participate in quality assurance activities.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of each patient.
- Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensure; ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working additional shifts or at alternate campuses as needed, including on-call and weekend assignments; case load is heavy and technologist must work until all cases are completed each day.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program.
- Nuclear Medicine Technology certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB required.
- Texas state licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) issued by the Texas Medical Board required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Basic computer proficiency required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
- Familiarity with PACS systems, including downtime procedures and escalation protocols.
