Job Title
PET Technologist – Nuclear Medicine
Location
Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 5x8-hour shifts | Varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM | Occasional Saturday shifts may be required based on unit needs | No on-call required | No holiday requirement
Key Responsibilities
Perform PET/CT scans in accordance with facility protocols and patient care standards
Operate and maintain Siemens PET/CT imaging equipment
Ensure proper radiation safety practices and compliance with applicable regulations
Document and chart patient imaging data accurately using Epic EMR
Participate in Saturday scanning sessions when required due to camera downtime or patient backlog
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of PET/CT technologist experience
Active BLS certification
NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required
NMTCB(CT), ARRT(R), or ARRT(CT) certification required
South Carolina SCRQSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required
Radiation badge required — must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to assignment start
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma center setting
Hands-on experience with Siemens PET/CT scanners
Familiarity with Epic charting system
