Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Work week: Wednesday–Tuesday
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring quality management programs for all procedures
Confer with physicians to determine appropriate procedures and ensure effective operations
Document all laboratory operations including receipt and disposition of radioactive materials, instrument and procedural quality control data, patient procedures, and medical records
Operate Gamma cameras including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and Cardiac Stress equipment; administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines
Provide clinical instruction for radiology students and residents to ensure all healthcare providers are well informed of radiologic information
Stay current with developments and trends in nuclear medicine by attending seminars, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations; share knowledge with staff members
Required Qualifications
Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Active permanent or temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from the Texas Medical Board
Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or active CNMT
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, including relevant chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences; basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG for cardiac studies
Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are welcome; a local pay rate will apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Siemens imaging systems
Experience with Spectrum Imaging software
