    Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    Key Responsibilities
    • Identify each patient, confirm date of birth and identification, achieve venous access, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while accurately recording route of administration, dose, and technologist initials.
    • Evaluate requisitions, charts, and lab results; perform patient assessments; and confirm that females of childbearing age are not pregnant prior to procedures.
    • Handle radiopharmaceuticals including receipt, proper documentation, dosage selection, quality control review, and disposal in accordance with Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines.
    • Set up and perform image acquisition per protocol, analyze images for correctness, process films, and submit to the physician for approval.
    • Utilize RIS, CIS, SMS, and PACS systems to generate accurate documentation and complete all orders with appropriate charges.
    • May perform advanced duties including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging and lead technologist responsibilities.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
    • Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
    • Must maintain active registry status and meet continuing education requirements annually.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
    • Experience with GE NM 830 imaging equipment.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CT cross-training highly preferred.
    • Experience in a lead technologist role or advanced nuclear medicine imaging modalities.
