    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging, including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas to capture images as requested by a physician.
    • Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and confidence throughout the exam process.
    • Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality.
    • Identify, prepare, and/or administer medications and substances within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
    • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self, in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
    • Maintain required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats; perform routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine technology.
    • Current registration in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
    • Active BLS certification.
    • Ability to comply with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with Cerner EMR.
    • Completed nuclear medicine skills checklist within the past year.
