PET/CT Technologist (Dual Certification)

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and adherence to radiation safety regulations including proper documentation when working with radioactive materials and patients.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images by interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, customers, and radiologists throughout the imaging process to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
  • Train new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
  • Troubleshoot scanners, coaches, and peripheral equipment including monitors, PACS, and coils.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist required; must hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT).
  • Valid New York State dual licensure for Nuclear Medicine and CT Technology required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of one year of PET/CT experience required.
  • Valid state driver's license required; local travel may be required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in varied imaging environments such as freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities.
