Nuclear Cardiology Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (some procedures may run until 4:30 PM) | No on-call or weekend requirements | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT, encompassing blood flow studies, cardiac amyloidosis, hybrid SPECT resting studies, and PET sarcoid or viability studies.
• Acquire and process diagnostic images, perform daily quality control, and maintain radiopharmacy operations in accordance with NYSDOH guidelines.
• Deliver patient-centered care by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining safety standards throughout all interactions.
• Manage and document patient data within the eRecord system and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the nuclear cardiology team to implement new technologies and continuously improve laboratory protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technology License.
• Current NMTCB certification or ARRT(N) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac imaging protocols including PET viability and sarcoid studies.
