Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician Location: Hartford, Connecticut Pay Rate: $53.69 – $55.69 per hour
Position Overview An established healthcare organization seeks certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists for 90-day onsite contracts in Hartford, Connecticut. The department performs a broad range of diagnostic nuclear imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency populations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per regulatory and departmental protocols
Perform planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT imaging across a broad range of clinical indications
Acquire and process images to diagnostic quality standards for radiologist interpretation
Operate gamma cameras and imaging workstations safely and efficiently
Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
Document radiopharmaceutical administration, dosimetry, and quality control accurately
Follow all radiation safety and NRC compliance requirements
Requirements
ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification in good standing
Active Connecticut nuclear medicine license or eligibility
Minimum 1 year clinical nuclear medicine experience
BLS certification
Must reside 60+ miles from facility (travel assignment requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
SPECT/CT or PET experience
Cardiac nuclear medicine experience
Experience in a high-volume imaging department
