Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification and 3-5+ years of experience in General Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging.

Details

• Work in the Nuclear Medicine department of a hospital in Atlanta, GA
• Float between Nuclear Medicine and PET as needed for direct and indirect patient care, including patient reminder calls
• Handle 10+ nuclear medicine studies per day and 12-14 PET/CT studies per day
• Perform procedures such as whole body bone scans, lung scans, gastric emptying studies, renal scans, HIDA scans, thyroid uptake and scans, thyroid whole body scans, DaTscan brain scans, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid scans, FDG PET, and specialty PET studies
• Uses GE and Siemens equipment
• 5x8-hour AM shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required, including one weekday evening (4:30 PM-10 PM) per week and one weekend (Sat/Sun 7 AM-10 PM) per month
• Likely one holiday call coverage over the course of the contract

Requirements

• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required
• 3-5+ years of experience required
• Must be proficient in General Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging
• Active license required if applicable
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• On-call responses are primarily limited to HIDA scans, GI bleeds, brain death studies, and lung scans
• Call-back frequency is low based on recent technologist experience
• Grey scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this position
• Former employees of this health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed per contract
• Monthly parking fee of $50 applies
