Description

American Traveler is hiring a PET Technologist for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and Siemens PET/CT equipment proficiency.

Details

  • >
  • Works in a Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT scans
  • 5x8-hour day shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM-10:00 AM and end times between 3:00 PM-7:00 PM
  • May be required to work Saturdays for PET/CT scans if the camera is down or there is an excessive backlog
  • No holiday shifts required
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Uses Siemens PET/CT equipment

Requirements

  • >
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist
  • BLS certification required
  • NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required
  • NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification required
  • State license (SCRQSA) in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required if applicable
  • Radiation badge must be supplied by candidate/agency, as the facility does not provide one to travelers
  • Level I or II trauma center experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • PET/CT experience across various scan types preferred

  • Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I trauma status
  • Scrub color requirement is a teal top with black pants
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Block scheduling requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
  • Local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
  • Local radius rule is 60 miles, with non-local candidates prioritized
  • Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • During hurricane season (June through November), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties
