Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Orange, California. This position is based within an acute care hospital environment and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends or holidays required.
The ideal candidate will have strong Nuclear Medicine experience and be comfortable performing PET scans or willing to train onsite for PET imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Conduct PET scans and diagnostic imaging procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures
- Maintain imaging equipment and adhere to radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- PET scan experience preferred; onsite training available
- Active applicable state license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
