Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with hands-on General NM experience and BLS certification for a 14-week travel contract.

Details

  • Work in a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department performing routine General NM studies
  • Cases include bone scans, gastric emptying, hepatobiliary, renal, and other routine Nuclear Medicine studies
  • PET/CT-trained candidates may rotate through the PET department
  • Equipment includes Siemens cameras: Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT
  • 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; shift hours may vary slightly based on scheduled patients
  • Call is required approximately once every 9 weeks; weekday call requires staying late only if a late patient is scheduled (typically done by 6:00 PM)
  • Weekend call coverage runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for cases such as GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death studies

Requirements

  • Nuclear Medicine experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • PET/CT experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach are essential
  • 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
  • State license required if applicable
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Provide patient care across General NM with routine studies; PET/CT-trained candidates may have the opportunity to rotate through the PET department
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requested after submission will not be approved
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
