Job Details
Position Description: Responsible for administering nuclear medicine procedures, calculating and preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and maintaining safety standards. Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations, manages hot lab duties, and may cross-train in positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET/CT). Ensures compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations, practices radiation safety, operates imaging equipment, processes data, and monitors patient conditions during procedures.
Required Qualifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ND State License, minimum 2 years of experience, and availability for a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with call responsibility every 5 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PET/CT imaging, proficiency in PACS and Epic charting systems, and familiarity with radiation safety and quality assurance.
Additional Responsibilities: Properly prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision. Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained, and monitor patient conditions. Participate in training related to PACS and Epic systems, and adhere to departmental policies.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Call every 5 weeks for the week, with coverage within the hospital during call hours, only alone during the call but with support available.
