Job Summary:
The location is in Palo Alto, California. The position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine (NUC). This role involves performing all nuclear medicine procedures on patients of all ages utilizing various imaging equipment. The technologist will prepare diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals following current radiation safety guidelines and assist in the administration of therapeutic doses. The position requires collaboration with physicians and participation in clinical and research applications to support diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license or certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and current BLS certification. Candidates must hold one of the following licenses: ARRT-N, NMTCB, or ARRT-CT.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of PET-CT techniques, quality control, and quality assurance; experience in radiologic equipment operation; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Additional Information: The technologist will assist in instructing residents and other technologists, calibrate radiopharmaceuticals, maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, evaluate images for quality, monitor supplies, and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives. The role requires ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate effective teamwork and communication.
