Responsibilities
- Perform and process nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT/CT and PET as applicable
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician orders and monitor patient response
- Position, prepare, and image patients; optimize acquisition parameters for diagnostic quality
- Operate Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS) and related RIS/HIS interfaces; document procedures and results
- Ensure radiation safety compliance, dose tracking, QC/QA routines, and inventory management
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, radiologists, and technologists; provide patient instruction and compassionate care
Requirements
- Active license/registration: Current NM registration (NMTCB or ARRT(NM))
- Certifications: At least one of NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), ARRT(MR)
- Education: Bachelor of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, OR an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program plus 2 years of experience by the date of hire
- Licensure: Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR
- Experience/Skills: Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging preferred (SPECT/CT/PET/MR/Optical fusion imaging); ability to work in a hospital setting; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
