Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Acute Care unit. The RN will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in condition, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, pain, and other clinical indicators.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide wound care and assist with mobility, ADLs, and patient safety.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and nursing documentation.
• Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and hospital policies.
• Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Provide care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Requirements Active RN license eligible to practice in New York. Previous Med/Surg or acute-care RN experience preferred. BLS certification. Strong assessment, medication administration, communication, and clinical skills. Ability to work both day and night shifts as required by the assignment.
