Shift: Evenings | 3 x 8.5-Hour Shifts (1-Hour Lunch)
Hours:24 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead an Acute Psychiatric Unit, overseeing clinical operations, staff performance, and patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong psychiatric nursing experience, leadership skills, and a medical-surgical background to support a safe and therapeutic environment.

Main Requirements

  • Active RN New York state License
  • Minimum 1 year of Psychiatric Nursing experience
  • Psychiatry with Medical-Surgical experience required
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • CPI/De-escalation Training (Required or willing to obtain)
  • Leadership or Nurse Manager experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the psychiatric unit and supervise nursing staff.
  • Coordinate patient care, staffing, and workflow.
  • Provide clinical oversight for patients with acute psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
  • Respond to behavioral crises using de-escalation and restraint protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with behavioral health, infection control, suicide prevention, and regulatory standards.
  • Administer and oversee psychiatric medications, including IM and oral psychotropic medications.
