Registered Nurse - Acute Medicine Unit (Medical-Surgical)

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse on an Acute Medicine Unit in Atlanta, Georgia. This 13-week travel assignment offers an opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population requiring medical-surgical interventions.

The role involves managing a caseload of adult patients with various acute medical conditions, focusing on comprehensive assessment, intervention, and patient education within a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions for medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, interpret diagnostic data, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication management, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Medicine Unit or Medical-Surgical setting.
• Ability to travel for the duration of the 13-week assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Licensing Requirements
