Job Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a contract Registered Nurse on an Acute Medicine Unit in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse adult population with various medical conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards of practice.

This is a 13-week travel assignment, ideal for experienced Medical-Surgical RNs seeking a dynamic environment and the chance to contribute their expertise in a new setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Respond to emergent situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse experience.
  • Ability to travel and work as a contract Registered Nurse, residing outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
