We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in an acute care hospital setting located in Rochester, New York. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse adult patient population.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests, reporting changes to the appropriate medical staff.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Provide compassionate support and advocacy for patients throughout their hospital stay.
Required Qualifications
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
