We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is based within a clinical care setting, focusing on the administration of various infusion therapies to a diverse patient population.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care, including patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, and patient education. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Infusion RN to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a non-oncology focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
Assess patient health status, including vital signs and infusion site, before, during, and after treatments.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene appropriately.
Maintain and troubleshoot IV access, including peripheral and central lines.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care.
Accurately document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions in the electronic health record.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Infusion Registered Nurse.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) as required.
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia.
