This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join an acute care team in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive direct patient care within a dynamic hospital environment, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across various acute care settings, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise to manage diverse patient needs. Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
