This is a 13-week travel assignment for an experienced Registered Nurse at a prominent acute care facility in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic hospital environment, contributing to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to optimal patient outcomes.
The role involves direct patient care, comprehensive assessments, and the implementation of evidence-based nursing interventions across various acute care settings. This position offers an opportunity to leverage your clinical expertise in a supportive and challenging healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor patient responses, and manage IV therapy.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, document patient status, and report changes to the medical team.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
