Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Canton, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Radiology department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The Interventional Radiology RN will work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to deliver high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong clinical background in interventional radiology or special procedures, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage complex patient cases.

This is a travel assignment, and candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Canton, Georgia, are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after interventional radiology and special procedures.
• Assess patient health status, administer medications (including conscious sedation), and monitor vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures.
• Assist radiologists and other medical staff with various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and proper equipment setup.
• Manage patient recovery, including post-procedure monitoring, pain management, and discharge education.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment used in interventional radiology.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Respond effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license eligible for Georgia endorsement.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent, direct experience as an RN in Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Canton, Georgia, to be considered for this travel assignment.

Holiday Expectations: The successful candidate must be available to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) during the assignment period.
