This is an exciting 13-week travel contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse at a prominent medical center located in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate patient care within an acute care setting, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare team.
This role involves managing a diverse patient population, focusing on comprehensive assessment, intervention, and evaluation to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, possess strong clinical skills, and be committed to patient advocacy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, documenting findings accurately.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
