Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, New York. This role is based within a dynamic acute care hospital setting, providing an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards of practice. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Perform and assist with medical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York or compact state license eligible for New York endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
