Job Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic hospital setting.

This role involves working night shifts, focusing on patient assessment, medication administration, care plan implementation, and collaborative teamwork to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, and communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests, reporting changes to the physician.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
