This is an exciting 13-week travel assignment for a dedicated Registered Nurse in a prominent acute care facility located in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic hospital environment.
This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional capable of managing a varied caseload, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care techniques.
Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Previous travel nursing experience.
