Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Joplin, Missouri. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care within an acute care environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will apply their clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse patient population during 12-hour day shifts, ensuring adherence to all professional standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition and response to therapy.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain precise and confidential electronic health records.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
- Adhere strictly to all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or a compact state.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
