Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, preventing, and controlling infections while supporting patient safety initiatives and regulatory compliance throughout the healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
Conduct surveillance and tracking of healthcare-associated infections.
Analyze infection data and identify trends to support quality improvement initiatives.
Educate staff on infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety outcomes.
Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility infection prevention regulations.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
Infection Prevention or Infection Control experience preferred.
CIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred but not required.
Current BLS certification preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of infection surveillance, prevention practices, and regulatory standards.
Ability to educate and lead clinical staff initiatives.
