Clinical Resource & Value Analysis Nurse Manager

Position Overview

The Clinical Resource & Value Analysis Nurse Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the evaluation, review, and implementation of clinical products, equipment, and supplies across the healthcare system. This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve product standardization, optimize clinical outcomes, reduce unnecessary variation, and support cost-effective supply utilization initiatives.

The Nurse Manager serves as a liaison between clinical staff, leadership, and supply chain teams, providing expertise in value analysis, contract review, product assessment, and implementation planning. This position requires a strong clinical nursing background, particularly within perioperative and critical care environments, as well as experience with supply chain operations and healthcare procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Value Analysis & Product Evaluation

• Lead the clinical review, evaluation, and selection of medical products, supplies, and equipment.
• Facilitate value analysis initiatives to improve quality, standardization, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct product comparisons, utilization reviews, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Analyze clinical and operational data to support product recommendations and purchasing decisions.
• Assist in reviewing vendor proposals, contracts, and product agreements.

Clinical Collaboration

• Partner with nursing leadership, physicians, perioperative teams, and other stakeholders to evaluate clinical product needs.
• Lead multidisciplinary committees and workgroups focused on supply utilization and value analysis.
• Gather feedback from clinicians regarding product performance, quality, and patient care impact.
• Serve as a clinical resource for supply chain, nursing, and executive leadership teams.

Implementation & Process Improvement

• Coordinate product trials, evaluations, conversions, and implementation plans.
• Develop and support initiatives to reduce product variation across departments.
• Assist with change management efforts related to product standardization and adoption.
• Monitor outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Education & Communication

• Provide education and guidance to clinical staff regarding new products, equipment, and supplies.
• Communicate project updates, recommendations, and implementation plans to stakeholders.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
• Support organizational goals related to quality improvement, operational efficiency, and cost management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership, management, or project leadership experience.
• Experience with medical supplies, healthcare procurement, supply chain operations, or value analysis processes.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative services, operating room workflows, and surgical supplies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Experience supporting value analysis initiatives within hospital systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare group purchasing organization (GPO) programs and processes.
• Pediatric healthcare experience.
• Professional certifications such as:
  • Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP)
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
• Experience with contract review, product implementation, and supply utilization management.
