Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00; 08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year in operating room circulator experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in operating room circulator with at least 1 year in the intraoperative setting - Familiarity with specialties including retina surgery, total hip and knee surgeries, hand surgery, breast oncology, breast reconstruction, ENT, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, and podiatry Description: The role requires a registered nurse with experience in outpatient surgery. The position involves working a total of 72 hours in a two-week period, with alternating schedules of 5 days one week and 4 days the next. The candidate will have one day off every other week. The daily patient ratio is 1:4, with an average census of 18 patients across 5 operating rooms. The utilization of Epic and Pyxis systems is expected. Scrub color will be provided by the facility. There are no weekend shifts or call requirements; however, nurses may need to remain in the unit if extra cases arise. There is a maximum of 7 days allowed for request time off, with specific blackout dates during spring break. Travelers will be expected to work one major holiday during their assignment period, and may potentially work two if more holidays fall within that timeframe. Full compliance is required to start on time, including submission of all necessary documents. References from supervisory personnel are strongly preferred during the application process. Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete any required labs promptly.
