Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Ambulatory Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of charge experience preferred License: Active Texas RN license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Epic charting experience preferred Description: The position is for a registered nurse in ambulatory care. The nurse will work Monday through Friday with no weekends. Daily patient interactions involve a high geriatric population. The average number of visits per day is around 80. The role requires various nursing skills including medication reconciliation and patient teaching. Candidates should be familiar with blood glucose monitoring and obtaining vital signs. Strong communication skills are essential for patient follow-up calls and referrals. Travel experience is required. This position does not have weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities. The unit offers interdisciplinary support including social services and pharmacy. Travelers may be required to wear a mask if not vaccinated for COVID-19. Applicants must verify a full 7-year work history including any gaps in employment. A supervisor reference from the last 18 months is also required. The position does not require a COVID-19 vaccine. Candidates must be willing to work two of the three major holidays within their contract dates.
