All Medical Personnel - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Ambulatory Care for a travel nursing job in Sanford, Maine.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care following wound, ostomy, and continence nursing guidelines and established standards of care.
  • Serve as a key liaison, addressing patient care concerns and educating patients and healthcare team members.
  • Assess physical, psychological, and social needs; develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Perform advanced treatments, including wound management, ostomy care, drainage, fistula care, and percutaneous tube management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation reflecting care provided and patient responses, in accordance with professional standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with all safety policies, including hazardous waste handling and infection control procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Valid RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Recent experience with inpatient acute care, wound, ostomy, and continence care
  • Ability to perform complex assessments and treatments
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Experience handling biomedical, pharmaceutical, and hazardous waste

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with percutaneous tubes, wound drainage, and fistula care
  • Patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration experience
  • Basic understanding of hazardous drug safety protocols

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Nursing degree from an accredited program
  • Prior outpatient or ambulatory care experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work daytime hours, typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Willingness to travel if needed
  • Certification in wound, ostomy, and continence care is desirable
  • Ability to follow all safety and compliance procedures to uphold a safe environment
