Position: Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Care
Location: San Ysidro
Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 1 Year
Weekly Pay:$2500 to $2700
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care in outpatient clinical settings, including Primary Care, Specialty Care, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN
Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and document clinical findings accurately
Administer medications, vaccinations, injections, and prescribed treatments
Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures
Perform patient triage, evaluate symptoms, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, medications, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices
Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and specialty appointments as needed
Monitor chronic disease management programs and support preventive health initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, patient safety guidelines, and clinic policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to positive patient outcomes
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 1 year of recent ambulatory care, outpatient clinic, family practice, primary care, specialty clinic, pediatric, or OB/GYN nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Strong assessment, triage, patient education, and care coordination skills
Experience administering immunizations and outpatient treatments preferred
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-focused care
